My Personal Journey

In May of 2019 much to our delight my husband and I received the marvelous news that we were expecting! We were ecstatic and overjoyed with happiness, joy and excitement! After a healthy 9 months pregnancy, in January of 2020, we were blessed with our healthy baby! 


While there is nothing that I have ever experienced in my life that compares to the intensity of labor, a challenge I faced throughout the course of my 9 month pregnancy was adjusting mentally to the changes in my body and the weight gain. I'm not sure I ever did. Yet, I continued to focus on eating the proper nutrients I needed for myself and my growing baby. I knew that at the proper time—post pregnancy I would have to shift my focus to eating the proper nutrients and exercising to regain my shape and figure.


In March of 2020 I weighed in at 147.8lbs and I was finally released to begin exercising. However, I decided to begin my exercise and nutrition plan at the start of April 2020 to work my body back after pregnancy. Before pregnancy I maintained a weight of 134lbs but I set a weight loss goal for myself to reach the weight of 124lbs (which was my late 20s weight) and a second goal to maintain my weight within the range of 124lbs-126lbs thereafter. 


Once I resumed exercise activity my body felt stiff and weak. The lack of exercise activity I had in the few months after pregnancy as well as the post pregnancy weight I was still carrying made activities I was accustomed to doing with ease much harder in the beginning of my return to training. Yet, within time and consistently working my plan daily, it did not take long for my body to begin to regain it's strength and endurance.


After nearly 5 months of consistent daily exercise activity and implementing my nutrition plan I weighed in on August 23rd at 124.4lbs and I'm happy to say that I regained my shape and I feel stronger than I ever have before! My body IS IN EVEN BETTER SHAPE AFTER PREGNANCY!! This has been one of the most surprising and most rewarding times within my journey of fitness!!! 


Now, I want to show women all across the world how they can do it! We can go through pregnancy and come back even stronger, more fit, and in greater shape and you don't need to starve yourselves, eat salads all day, nor work out morning, noon, and night to work your body in even better shape after pregnancy.
